Government-funded childcare
Funded hours at Bramblewood Day Nursery
We offer all of the government's funded entitlements for children in England. This page explains which ones, and the patterns you can take your hours in. Last updated 1 September 2026.
The entitlements we offer
| Entitlement | Who it's for | Hours a year |
|---|---|---|
| 30 hours for working parents | Children aged 9 months until they start school, eligible working parents | 1,140 |
| 15 hours for 2-year-olds | 2-year-olds in families getting some kinds of extra support | 570 |
| 15 hours universal | All 3 and 4-year-olds | 570 |
Check eligibility and get your code at Childcare Choices. Working parents need to reconfirm their code every three months.
How you can take your hours
You choose the pattern that suits your family. You don't need to book any paid hours to take a funded place.
| Entitlement | Example pattern | Hours a week |
|---|---|---|
| 15 hours | Five mornings, 8:30am to 11:30am, or two and a half days | 15 |
| 30 hours | Five days, 9:00am to 3:00pm, or three full days of 10 hours | 30 |
| Entitlement | Example pattern | Hours a week |
|---|---|---|
| 15 hours | One full day and one short day | 11.18 |
| 30 hours | Two full days and a short day | 22.35 |
Using your hours at more than one setting
You can split your funded hours between us and another nursery or childminder. Tell us how many hours you're using elsewhere and we'll work with them so your child's time is joined up.
What funded hours cover
Funded hours cover your child's care and early education, including all the toys, books, craft materials and resources they use. Some things are not covered by the funding, such as meals and nappies. These are always optional: see optional extras for prices and how to opt out.
